***Teams may choose to color the pictures or enlarge the font for Pigs on the Winter and Spring Emerging Literacy Survey.
***There is an error on the Kindergarten Emerging Literacy Survey. On Page 7 of the Student Copy, under the Letter Sound Identification section, the letter “v” is listed twice. Please change the 2nd “v” (after the “d”) to a “y” in order to match the student Blackline Master.
***It has come to our attention that there is some confusion on the directions for the Kindergarten Emerging Literacy Survey. On page 3 under Task #3: Letters and Sounds (see below), the directions state that we will “discontinue after five consecutive incorrect sound responses”. When following these directions as they are written, you may omit Task #4: Sight Word Recognition, if the 5 vowel sounds are incorrect. As we know, this may not provide us with an accurate picture of students’ abilities. The directions will now read “Discontinue after five consecutive incorrect CONSONANT sound responses.” Please make note of this change for future testing.
